Lenten Meditation Day-20 Achor Valley- The Door of Hope by Rev. Sunil Joy Koippallil

Rev. Sunil Joy Koippallil Achor- The Door of Hope. From troubles to hopes. God promises His people a door of hope (Hosea 2: 15); Jesus is the Door of Hope for us. He made it through His cross. Joshua 7: 25 tells Achor is a troubling place, symbol of disobedience. Achan took and hid the accursed things (either separated for God or separated from the camp). Achan, family and all herds were stonned to death. Joshua 7: 25-26 "And Joshua said, Why have you troubled us? the LORD shall trouble you this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day." But through the Book of Hosea (2:14-15), God says, this valley will turn to be a door of hope, if you keep away from baal god. So the change in life will be: From problem To hope From being stonned to death To being saved to life (death to life). From despair To hope
